SellingAtMastery.com is pleased to make our 20 Lesson Selling at Mastery, Self-Study Course available to both private and public Universities, Colleges and Continuing Education facilities.
While a multitude of 'Marketing Programs' are available to students, actual hands-on 'Sales Training' is missing from most educational programs.
Since the sale of products and services is the driving force behind the world economy and selling involves the interaction of individuals, it is critical that those who sell are educated to perform their tasks at the highest possible levels of competency, efficiency and ethics.
Learning Institutions are now able to obtain yearly licenses for our Selling at Mastery, Self-Study Course and can resell access to the course as optional credit or non-credit courses (your choice) to interested students who are anticipating or engaged in a career in a business environment where selling is the focus of that business.
The course is very comprehensive and will be of significant interest and benefit both to students with little or no selling experience as well as those who have a substantial selling background.
For the general purpose of your understanding of the style and methodology behind our Selling at Mastery, Self-Study Course, I would like to share one basic belief along with one basic philosophy.
The Belief:
All people, regardless of their station in life, do the absolute best that they are capable of doing. That is based on the knowledge they possess and their current mindset.
The Philosophy:
Within the bounds of ethics, question everything. ''It's not whether something is right or wrong, it's whether it works or it doesn't work.''
By working with those two statements, I firmly believe that students can be elevated to the position of selling at mastery relatively quickly.
What does the Selling at Mastery, Self-Study Course cover?
What is the Lesson style of the "Selling at Mastery", Self-Study Course?
The course was originally written to be delivered live by me or other instructors in classroom or boardroom settings in 2 hour lessons either spread over a 20-week full semester or condensed into an intense week long 40- hour Boot Camp. Since then it has been adapted for computer based learning.
It's written in an easy conversational style that anticipates questions and then provides thought-provoking answers. It is not without its share of good humor and it suggests challenges and practical assignments with each lesson. It can be fun but it also takes commitment and some hard work in order to be successful.
How are the Lessons delivered?
The entire course will be delivered digitally, in secure e-Book format, that will be accessed with a security code. This means you can have your students experience the course on a computer within your institution or you can allow them to use their personal home computer on their own time. You simply supply the codes when they register for the course.
Course license purchases will give you codes to access the material from individual ISP addresses. Each additional license will provide codes for one ISP address.
How frequently should the students study the lessons?
We feel that the most productive schedule would be to study a lesson every 3 to 6 days. Since there is such a massive amount of material provided in these lessons, 3 to 6 days seems to be a reasonable amount of time to begin putting the newly discovered knowledge and principles into practice.
However, there is no hard and fast rule. Each student can learn at the pace that is the most comfortable to him or her. That's one of the great benefits of completing a course in this manner. It can be worked into and around other class schedules, activities, job responsibilities, even family time.
Should Salespeople review the material more than once?
Absolutely! It's been said that retention in a live lecture or seminar may be less than 20%. That may partially explain why positive results are often not evident or sustained.
When words are spoken, they can be misunderstood, forgotten or not heard at all which means they will be lost forever. With the written word, there is always the opportunity for review.
The first review should follow quickly after the lesson is initially completed, generally within a day. There will certainly be more knowledge grasped with the second or even third reading. The review process will bring the critical knowledge back to the forefront.
